Carver's Goal Leads to Split in Minnesota

Rosemount, MN -- Sarah Carver's goal in the 78th minute allowed Indian Hills to defeat Northwest Technical College, 1-0, in the Warriors' second game in the Minnesota Kickoff Classic.

The Warriors lost to Dakota County, 8-0, in their first match in the tourney.

Carver showed that she could be an offensive force for the Warriors. She had four of their seven shots against Dakota County and half of their 10 shots against Northwest Tech.

Stephanie Smiley and Janet Ochoa divided the game in goal for the Warriors in their shutout victory and they combined for five saves.

Indian Hills will play their first home game of the fall on Wednesday, hosting the Waldorf JV at 5:00 at the Walsh Soccer Complex. They'll take on Scott CC at 4:00 on Saturday.
