Four From IHCC on All-Region Team

Ottumwa -- Indian Hills placed four players on the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference All-Region XI women's soccer team, announced by the ICCAC.

The all-conference players from Indian Hills included first-team selection Brooke Duea, a sophomore from Earlham, who led IHCC in goals with 11 and added four assists; Caroline Gagliardi, a sophomore from Sao Paulo, Brazil, who tallied five goals and a team-high six assists, and was chosen for the second team; and two freshmen from Centerville, Crystal Maldonado and Jordan Davis, who were both named to the honorable mention list. Maldonado was second on the squad with six goals.

Ashley King added three goals for the Warriors this season while Sara Sosa, Angel Daub and Cassie Pietz all had two goals. Freshman Abby Donnolly was the lone goalkeeper used by IHCC.

IHCC first-year head coach Kirk Artist complimented the Warriors for the effort they played with this season. "These young ladies came into the season and worked hard for each other. They showed a lot of heart playing through injuries and many other obstacles throughout the season. This was a very tight-knit group that enjoyed each other's company and played because they enjoy the game of soccer. I am proud of them for representing Indian Hills with such class.”
