Duea and Gagliardi Sign with 4-Year Schools

Ottumwa -- Five players from last fall’s Indian Hills Community College soccer teams have signed letters-of-intent with four-year schools to continue their education and soccer careers.

From the IHCC men’s team, Ryan Culbertson from Ft. Madison has signed with Grand View University, Aaron Rose from Ottumwa has signed with William Penn University, and Gustavo Scorzelli from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil has signed with Judson University.

IHCC women’s players who will play soccer this fall are Brooke Duea from Earlham with Northwest Missouri State University and Caroline Gagliardi from Sao Paulo, Brazil with Florida Memorial University.

Duea led the IHCC women with 11 goals and added five assists in the 2009 season. Gagliardi had a team-high six assists and five goals. Both were named to the All-Region 11 team.

Culbertson was a first-team All-Region selection and Scorzelli was named Honorable Mention.
