Gagliardi Scores Twice as Warriors Win

Ottumwa -- Carlone Gagliardi (Sao Paulo, Brazil) notched two of the goals as the Indian Hills women's soccer team picked up its second victory of the season on Saturday, knocking off Hawkeye CC, 4-1, at the Walsh Soccer Complex.

Freshman Crystal Maldonado (Centerville) also scored for the Warriors, whose other goal came when a Hawkeye player knocked the ball into her own net. Brooke Duea (Earlham) led the Warrior offense with six shots and she had an assist.

Abby Donnolly, an IHCC freshman from Mt. Pleasant, turned away seven shots on goal for Hawkeye.

The Warriors' win improves their season mark to 2-5. Indian Hills will try to duplicate an early-season win over Marshalltown when they take on the Tigers on their home field on Tuesday.
